Liz Frazer in back track. Hilarious!
Doyle:Come on in darling the doors open
Bodie:Anything you say sweetheart:)
Mine too!
Backtrack must have been the funniest episode in Pros.
Really like the scene when she doesn't offer Bodie the drink.
Margerie Harper while looking at Bodie: Loutsss are everywhere...lol
Lol its amazing. Lewis' expressions are classic! Going to watch that ep right now!
Doyle:Come on in darling the doors open
Bodie:Anything you say sweetheart:)
Pamela Stephenson- the sexy, sexy comedy star of Not The 9 O'Clock News was in two episodes if I remember rightly. She's gorgeous in both.
She later married Billy Connolly and became a shrink I think.
"What now Cliff?"
"The instrumental break"
"Great Cliff- which instruments do you want us to break?"
I think she is in three - Old Dog with New Tricks, Stakeout and Rogue if I remember rightly.
Liz Fraser gotta be my favourite though, she really makes that episode
Yes she's in three and has progressively bigger roles each time. In Stakeout especially she's totally gorgeous hanging around in that bowling alley.
shareYes sorry for thread necro but she became a qualified psychologist
shareI don´t know whether to call it "favorite", but for trivia´s sake, here it goes: In one episode, a CI5 audio technician is listening at his eavesdropping devices, installed at the back of a closed van. The man is shown in profile, and he utters a few words, at most. The character was played by Pierce Brosnan.
In the same episode claudg, the lead girl (her step-brother was shot) is chatting to a friend in university, the friend is Ruby Wax and one of the agents staking out the golf club is CI Derek Conway (Ben Roberts) from The Bill. Wasn't Collins mooted as a future Bond but instead the guy credited as "radio operator " goes on the play him. :)
shareThe episode is "Blood Sports" and the lead girl, Anita Cabreros, is played by Michelle Newell
shareCan't remember the episode, but it was Trigger from Only Fools and Horses as a sinsiter assassin in shades and a medallion. Class!
shareStuart Wilson as Van Niekerk (Slush Fund).
Michael Coles as Rio (Mixed Doubles).
How about David Suchet as Krivas in Where The Jungle Ends? Mad as a hatter, or what?
[deleted]
Trigger was Ramos in Long Shot
shareSome other OFAH faces too: Alan, Cassie's dad, and Pauline Harris (the 'scheming old murderess') in the same episode, Hijack. Also, Mr. 'John' Chin, dodgy Chinese restaurant owner, popping up in a couple of episodes, and Mr. Jahan, who gave Rodney a job as chief mourner, in A Hiding To Nothing. Apparently, Steve Alder (Murphy) was in the OFAH Christmas special, The Jolly Boys' Outing, so I'll have to look out for him on Gold.
shareAlice Krige in the episode entitled 'Operation Susie.'
shareThe radio man also went on to play Remington Steele. And the man originally cast as Remington Steele, Anthony Andrews, was also the first choice to play Bodie. Small world.
shareAlso the man who played Remington Steele eventually played James Bond and Lewis Collins was considered to play Bond in the early eighties
shareYes, saw that today; the episode is called Blood Sports. I clocked her immediately, but only when I checked the end credits for confirmation did I learn that Pierce Brosnan was in it, as well. Like you say, he only has a few words, but you can recognise the accent.
Season 5
Alice Krige in episode "Operation Susie" - she went on to become the Borg queen in the Star Trek series.
Simon Dutton in "No Stone" - played the Saint in the late eighties.
Steven Berkoff - A Man Called Quinn
Geoffrey Palmer - The Ojuka Situation
Rona Anderson (Mrs Gordon Jackson) - Cry Wolf
David Yip (The Chinese detective) - Discovered in a Graveyard
Michael Angelis (The Liver BIRDS) - Lawson's Last Stand
Prentis Hancock (Space 1999) - Lawson's Last Stand
Karl Howman - Foxhole on the Roof
Ki9n Goddy (No 73) - Foxhole on the Roof
As some lone, mad bomber - can't remember the episode title, though.
Gabrielle Drake-Close Quarters
shareWhich episode did Bill Treacher have a small role in?
He used to be Arthur Fowler in Eastenders.
Long before he married Pauline, lost his marbles on christmas day 1986, and then had an affair with Mrs Hewitt!
I am surprised that no one has mentioned the following 3 actors who appeared in 'The Purging of CI5'
Simon Rouse - Monroe in 'The Bill'
Ian Gelder - Kevan Lannister in 'Game of Thrones'
Christopher Fairbank - Numerous films including 'Batman' where he is the first crook to face the wrath of Michael Keaton
EDIT: I've just seen that somebody mentioned this before...
The emperor out of Star Wars was in one...As some lone, mad bomber - can't remember the episode title, though.
For fans of The Wire, theres 'Lester Freamon - Pawn shop division' - Clarke Peters playing President Ojuka
shareBoba Fett himself, Jeremy Bulloch, in Where the Jungle Ends
shareI got a few....Michael Coles and Pammy Stevenson as said above.
Michael Culver of "Secret Army" and "cadfael" (Lawson in Lawson's last stand)
Michael Burrell as the guy who used to be Doyle's neighbour in "The Famale Factor" (a bit part actor who has played a few minor roles in some of my fav programmes)
And Ron Pember....who has been in loads of stuff....including Only Fools & Horses so can be added to the above list.
ScientistStrategistDrone EternalSupreme
Sheila Ruskin in Klansman
shareThe late Michael Gothard - Stopover
Roger Lloyd-Pack - Longshot
The late Shelagh Fraser (Aunt Beru from Star Wars Episode IV) as Elsa in "A Stirring of Dust" and Mrs. Wilson in "When the Heat Cools Off".
Other actors I remember seeing were:
Ben Cross (Chariots of Fire, Star Trek)
Black British comedian Stephen K. Amos (He does a lot of guest appearances on Australian TV comedy shows these days.)
and (the late) Patrick Durkin who played Terkoff in "The Female Factor" and Wally in "Hijack". You might remember him in Raiders of the Lost Ark as the portly mountain climber who was challenging Karen Allen's character Marion Ravenwood to a drinking contest in the bar in Nepal.
He lost. Lol.
"There is no Dana...only ZUUL!"
Stephen K Amos? Don't think so, he was only born in 1976!
sharejohn judd as corrupt policeman
sharePierce Brosnan played a member of CI5 in 'Blood Sports'.
However, my favourite guest star is Liz Frazer in 'Backtrack'.
There were some classic lines. Liz's character had taken a shine to Doyle, she stroked his cheek and said 'Nice boys like you are few and far between'.
She then looked at Bodie and said 'Louts are everywhere'.
Hilarious episode.
You can't palm off a second-rater on me. You gotta remember I was in the pink!
