I would really love to hear the theme music again. I remember it as being so haunting. I haven't seen this series since the 80's but I loved it. Short of buying the DVD, which I may someday do, where can I hear that music again?
More than a decade ago, Masterpiece Theatre released a CD of theme music from their productions. It's still available.

Thank you so much for your answer! I actually has this album as an LP back in the 80's,bought directly from PBS, and still have it, without the record player these days. I didn't even dare to hope that it might have be issued as a CD. I checked out the music sample at Amazon. I appreciate your taking the time to provide the link so I could hear that music again.
