That is a link to the Yesterday forum where discussions about Poldark have been taking place recently. Apparently Poldark is being re-run on June 1st 2.00pm and 7.00pm.
Hi, zola! Thanks for that information. I bet you're pleased! It's always good to have it on TV because it makes new converts. By the way, did you get your DVDs?
PS. Your request for the TV company to show Poldark without adverts will fall on deaf ears. That's how they make revenue!

I have received series 1,parts 1 and 2 through the post from E Bay,and have ordered the 2nd series, both parts a couple of weeks back, but have yet to receive them.I'm hoping it's the Easter post holding them up.
The strange thing is,when I watched part 1 and 2 on DVD,I felt that I was seeing bits I had missed the first time round... This I put down to the commercial breaks.Which is why I asked for Yesterday to ditch the adverts...Because it really detracts from the enjoyment of Poldark I feel...But as you say,it won't work!
I keep looking on E Bay and seeing deals on Winston Grahams books... Would anyone suggest a starting point on reading the Poldark novels? Should I start from the beginning? Strange question maybe, but I have not read any of the Poldark novels...Can anyone give me a rundown of the top 10 maybe,so I know what to look for?
Zola, I just got this list of the Poldark novels from wikipaedia. It looks as though they are in the order they were written.

Thank you Supergran, that is just what I wanted....
I go on the Winstone Graham website and read the posts folk write about the books they read..They seem to be as inspirational as the series.
I feel like I should start reading. Will fill in the gaps 'til the new series comes on.Which,(although I now have the first series on DVD)I know I shall watch and enjoy as much as I did when I first saw it.
I have read that folk in Australia have an unabridged edition of Poldark. I am interested to know which scenes the Aussies have which we don't. Does anyone know what the differences are??
The books are brilliant and I've read each and every one of them, more than once. Yes, we have the unabridged edition of the Poldark television series; the 'extras' are longer scenes, more conversation in places, etc, not extra storylines. I have the UK editions (bought them when I was in the UK; at the time, it wasn't available in Australia, with no hint of if ever it would be released here - I arrived home and shortly after it was released). I'm going to buy it here too - that way I'll have a backup copy in case one wears out LOL
