How big is Roger Livesey's part?

I adore Roger Livesey and might watch this. I like period dramas, but I watched the 1982 series of Barchester Chronicles and even though it's very well acted, the production quality is pretty dated. How does this one compare?

This one is even older, so the production values will also be dated.

That said, it's still one of the best series the BBC ever made.

Thanks, I believe it. I'll watch it for sure, but how soon will probably depend on how prominent Roger Livesey's role is. Do you know? He plays the Duke of St. Bungay.

He is not a major character but, as the cast list says, he's in well over half of the episodes.

Julie's correct, he's not a main character, but he does have a terrific role and plays it superbly. I love all his interactions with and about Glencora. If you're a fan, this series is a must-see.
