cool swimming

This came out when I was 7 years old but I remember being fascinated by the way he swam.

When 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire' came out in 2005, I thought that during the 2nd task, Harry swam just like the guy in Man from Atlantis. I had not thought of that show for nearly 30 years but it just flashed in my mind watching Harry swimming under the water.

It's actually the technique that is taught to Navy divers, in case their hands or feet are incapacitated. In training, their hands and feet are cuffed and they learn to use their entire body to propel themselves.

Fortunately, Ah keep mah feathers numbered for just such an emergency!

I was just a bit older when the show came out and was also fascinated with the technique - it's basically a butterfly without the arms. I've used it in olympic sized pools and it is *exhausting*
