Future Grange Hill DVD releases.


I emailed the BBC to ask if there were plans to release any further series' and about a possible release of Tucker's Luck. Here is the reply.

Thank you for your e-mail regarding 'Grange Hill'.

I am currently unaware of any plans to release further series. However, if you would like to make a suggestion for there release, I would suggest you put it in writing to the below address who are responsible for the commercial release of all BBC DVD's. Please write to:

Please note that there must be adequate public interest before a release can be arranged.

That is bad news that currently no more series of Grange Hill are planned for DVD release. They should at least release up to series 8!

To be honest, I don't think many people will bother writing to the address above. Someone needs to set up one of those petition online things ( http://www.petitiononline.com/petition.html ) expressing interest in that we would really like more series of GH released. Spread news around about the petition, and hopefully a good few thousands will sign it. And once the guys at 2 Entertain have read it, they may well change their mind, and release at least a few more series.

I am gutted that there won't (currently) be a Series 5 & 6 box set. As this was when Grange Hill was at it's very best.
