So where is Season 3? I'm ready! If they keep with tradition, it'll be June, but somehow I'm thinking it will be later than that. :(

shareMe too. I'd prefer to buy TV series all at once, not season by season. I really hate when they break up the seasons into volumes, like they did Love Boat. As much as I would love to buy, I won't until they quit doing that. They should really rethink with the economy so bad right now.

Same here, buy it watch it when ever I want and on the big flat screen tv. Tvshowsondvd.com still has no news on season 3 from Warner Bros, and they are the best site for news on TV show release on DVD news.
I just hope CHiPs Season 3 has not been forgotten, like some TV series after the first season or first and second and there is no other seasons for a very long time. some time it looks like 2 and half years and beyond. Shows that look like that are The Fall Guy, Growing Pains, T.J. Hooker, Different Strokes, Perfect Strangers, Welcome Back, Kotter and Night Court. The second season of Adam 12 took a very long time since the fist season, and it was not even release by Universal themselves. It was release by Shout with there name attached along to it only. Even through it is their's.
The amount of people that I know personally who are waiting for the rest of the seasons of CHiPs to be released on DVD are in the dozens (really). Warner Brothers are pretty terrible with their TV show DVD releases. Releasing Seasons 1 & 2 a year apart from one another was just stupid - all momentum is lost this way. Talk about clueless.
Get with the program Warner Brothers and do the right thing and release the rest of the series already. Holding up releases like this makes virtually no sense at all.
Looks like WB dropped the ball on this show too.

I'm also waiting for Season Three of The Hardy Boys! But just to let you know I personally emailed both companies and they both told me the same thing "we have no set release date set at this current time".
We'll just have to sit and wait for these stupid departments to get their acts together!
Just look at Everwood, the second season just came out five days ago since the first season was release, and when was that. The shows they don't do that to of their's are Smallville and ER.

After Season 1 came out in June 2007 and Season 2 came out in June 2008, the summer of 2009 came and went with no hints for the show's third season on DVD. By the end of October 2009, we asked Warner Home Video about the show, and they told us at the time that they had "no plans". Why not? No reason was officially given on the record, but the indication is that it's the same as a few other held-up Warner releases (like Perfect Strangers, for example): a combination of lower sales expectations on subsequent season set releases (the sales drop-off from S1 to S2 was bigger than expected, one retail contact told me) along with higher costs for music rights and other needed expenditures. Lest you forget, the 3rd Season of CHiPs started with a double-length episode called "Roller Disco", with popular music of the time used at a charity event (along with an insanely huge number of guest-star cameos). So this may be a bigger stumbling block than you might imagine. We hope that someday Warner can find a way to make the numbers work (perhaps when a rumored CHiPs big-screen movie comes along, supposedly starring Wilmer Valderrama of That '70s Show as "Ponch" and currently projected for 2011 per IMDB.com), but right now it looks like Ponch and Jon are taking some time off of their patrols.

i don't see why they don't release it as an on demand dvd printing...i saw something like that on amazon...i can't remember what it was that i was searching for but it was something to the effect of 'this is an on-demand item' when orders where placed for it then they made it up...that would seem to eliminate whatever cost over-runs that wb may have feared if only the people who really wanted it ordered it and it was done as they ordered it...just a thought...

shareyet another show they wont release or continue 2 i guess everybody start emailing and pestering warner bros no doubt you wont get a response i have yet 2 but if enough people do it maybe they will release them i just dont understand why some shows are more important then others they release one tree hill and shows like that yet they wont release others such as the remainder of chips or my 2 shows vengeance unlimited and dark justice which they owned the rights 2 at some stage what gives warner bros
