The music on this show wears me out
The music is very distracting and overdone.I like to call it Action Disco.

shareLOL!! I like it! Did you know season 1 was different? You might like that one better. It's basically the same tune, but not as jazzed up and disco-ish!
But I think it goes with the times. Mid to late 70's , and perfect for an Erik Estrada show. Maybe they should have had a country version too for Larry Wilcox in some of the seasons ! That actually would have been cool!
Kinda interesting that they didn't switch up the theme a third time around 1981 or '82, when disco was well past its prime. Seems like shows in the late-70s/early-80s switched up their arrangements every couple of years. I think Dallas did so every year.
Anyway, yes, everything from season two to the end is definitely the epitome of disco. "Action Disco" is a perfect name for it . Season one's theme is so bland and melodramatic in comparison...sounds like something from the early-70s, like Dragnet or Emergency!
Oh stewardess...I speak jive.
Starsky and Hutch changed up the theme song every season.
shareOne music cue sounds like a rip-off of Love Machine by The Miracles.
shareI can imagine that the Sick Leave episode was a refreshing change of pace for those who get tired of the disco music.
