Clarence Gilyard from Walker Texas Ranger

I guess this is season six. I see Clarence Gilyard Jr in this episode as an officer. I wonder if he was a recurring character at some point. Eventually he was one of the characters in Tom Cruise's "Top Gun" and he was Chuck Norris's partner in "Walker Texas Ranger".

Yup, Gillyard played the recurring role of officer Ben Webster during season six, essentially replacing Michael Dorn's officer Jeb Turner...

And Keenen Ivory Wayans also appears as either a CHiP or an LAPD officer (I'm not sure which, but I'm leaning toward the latter) in the first episode of this season.

The officers in Chips have no authority in Okinawa. They are in southern California

Wow, I didn't realize Chips was a prequel to Walker Texas Ranger, allowing us to see the backstory of Walkers partner
