Sounds good. I saw Peter Davison on 'Loose Women' with Lynda Bellingham and they both sounded keen (especially her! But then she hasn't had all that much work lately...) I really hope they do it! I'm secretly hoping they'll do a whole series, or at least a couple of episodes, I'm sure they' get huge audiences.
shareI didn't know what you meant by 'Loose Women' so after Googling for it I saw the ITV website and there I found an interview with Peter Davison in which you can read this;
"There is also a rumour about a proposed reunion of the All Creatures Great and Small cast. It has been reported that Robert Hardy (who played Siegfried Farnon) and Christopher Timothy (James Herriot) have seen a script and given it their blessing.
Peter explains what has happened. “This all started when someone found an old script in a cupboard. It was for a Christmas special and they read it and thought, ‘This would still kind of work'.
“They approached the three main actors and we said we'd do it as long as they took account of our ages. We're old codgers now and it would be fun to follow their misadventures.” "
So they are possibly going to make a fourth Christmas special!
I wish they'd release the Christmas specials on DVD, I still haven't had a chance to see them!
shareWell, the 1983 and 1985 specials are on dvd for quite some time now. Even in my small country (The Netherlands) they were released recently. I don't know where you live but you can buy them at www.amazon.com.
The 1990 special will be released in august this year by the BBC in a 4-disc set together with series 7.
I bought the first two specials earlier this year at amazon, not knowing that there would be a Dutch release with Dutch subtitles so soon. I'm going to buy that one as well, so if your interested in the one I already have. It's brand new and I'm sure I can make you a nice deal being both dedicated fans.
