how many seasons there were? I would love to start collecting all of the DVDs--probably cost me a fortune though!

There were 7 seasons of All Creatures Great And Small. About that fortune; I guess it all depends in which country you live.

You can pick most of them up on E-Bay, I know Series 1-5 are easy to come buy. Currently selling for £52.50. Series 6-7 are a little hard to get hold of at the moment, but I am sure they'll be available soon. The ones on E-Bay are mostly imports from Holland but they work fine. You can also get Series 1-4 UK releases on E-Bay and Amazon but they are more expensive.

In The Netherlands you can order the series 1 to 5 new in internetshops for € 15,- each. Series 6 and 7 have not been released over here. The 1983 and 1985 specials cost together on one dvd € 10,-. Subtitles are optional, so you can just watch the original stuff.

I also Goggled "Complete Collection All Creatures Great & Small" and found the collection as low as 268.87 USD at Walmart. Be cautious where you purchase the set because the description on Wal-Mart says series 1-6 but has the same photo as the other distributors where the box set includes all seven series (1978-90) plus the specials. I think it's a typo on their part but I can't be positive.
