Just to let fans know that Series 5 will be available on DVD as of 3rd March 2008, you can know pre-order it on Amazon

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that they were all released in the states. I did mean amazon.co.uk
Mind you the ones on .com are much more expensive, 36 pounds for series 5 and only 16 pounds on .co.uk (nearly half price)
Do you know when S. 6&7 are being released in the UK? I have got S. 1-5 from ebay (the Dutch imports) they are released much quicker than amazon. But S. 6&7 are still not out.
Sorry, I've got no idea. I'm waiting for the Dutch release of series 6 & 7 myself. And yes, the price in the USA is outrageous!

OUCH! Yeahh-- leave it to us Yanks (curious-- citizens of the United States of American HAVE no "name" -- the COUNTRY has no "name" -- ALL citizens of the "New World are "Americans" -- whether North, South or Central America- just that the citizens of OTHER of the countries have a NAME, as do their individual country). ANYWAY, -- would LOVE to get the entire ACGAS set, and would consider the longer wait/greater shipping cost from U.K. or Netherlands (if available there) to pay 60% less,--BUT, would they play in a U.S. DVD player? There ARE those "area" codes of some sort -- plus U.S. TVs are NTHS (or is it European are?). Anyway, different Telly signal format. DO have all of Hyacinth booKAY -- but purchased U.S. domestically

@ cityslickerfarmhand: Many dvd players can be made regioncode free quite easily, I did it with mine too. After that you can order series 1 to 5 and the specials in the Netherlands for € 12,- each. Series 6 and 7 are released in september and next year.
