What a pleasure it is to see the books come alive. The acting is impeccable. The characters, wonderful. It is strange comparing the honest unaffected ways of people then as compared to now. Makes the heart hurt a tiny bit, longing for the past.

I love it too. I have all the series and watch them often. They are an island of peace, tranquility, and joy in what has become an ugly, violent, overly sexualized world. It makes me long for the past too.
