Did Lynda Bellingham not like Christopher Timothy?

This series finally came back to Netflix for streaming and I can continue to watch it, again.

I'm in season, um... 4, and in one of the shows (I'm watching so many in a row, I can't figure out which one it is) and Jimmy is playing the piano to Dad's new radiogram.

Helen has him look in on the kids with her and they turn to look at each other. He starts to lean in to kiss her (which looked kind of odd, as though it wasn't part of the script) and she suddenly turns and goes to the kitchen. Once in the kitchen, he leans into kiss her on the cheek and she turns her head so he kisses the back of her head.

It was all very strange and had it just happened the one time, I could say, "Oh, it was just a flub". Instead, it honestly looked as though she didn't want him touching her.

Anyone?
