why can't I??

Ok I abssolutely love britsh comedies but is this more of a drama than comedy or both. I like shows like Keeping Up Apperances, Are You Being Served, and As Time Goes By. So maybe I'm use to flat out getting the joke sort to speak. I've tried watching this so I'm just asking why can't I get into this show? Like I said it says comedy-drama so just wondering, thanks.

Everyone has a different sense of humor. Millions of people found this program funny. I think the scenes having to do with Sigfried and Tristan are hilarious. It's not the same sort of humor that is on shows now. Maybe you're younger and accustomed to these types of programs? I've tried watching shows like "Are you being served?" and frankly don't see the humor in them. But more than humor, there is a coziness and warmness about All Creatures, and also the depiction of a simpler time, that draws me back time and again because it makes me feel good to watch it.

Well, I'm not sure if this made it into the TV series, but in the book, there were the times he was trying to take Helen out on some dates. The first date was disastrous in that they ended up pushing the car through a flooded road in their evening clothes and during the second date at the local movie house, there was a client who kept on, in graphic detail, about his animal that had not survived and the town drunk who showed up in the middle of the movie and snored loudly. Well, those episodes are not side splitting funny, but there must have been some humor in there somewhere as Helen ends up breaking out in laughter.

Because you seem to be approaching this show from a pretty weird place - I mean, your name is KITH reference. It's not the same humour at all. It's not comedy. What comedy there is is more situational, but it's overall a drama.

I'd make suggestions on what else to watch, but this thread is 8 years old. Why the hell am I replying at all?

'Scientists get funky about having their research poached' - Byers

I actually ended up watching the whole series that was shown on my PBS and I grew to really like the show.

Funky, you're one of the few that knows where my name came from. I seem to have such a wide array of comedy shows that I like. If it's Britsh I usually love it. I'm currently watching 70's British comedies. And please give me suggesting of shows I'm always looking for new shows.
