This movie is nut just overated...but it's incredibly stupid.And that if I don't remind the acting, which was a huge lack of talent!Stupid movie,stupid subject and stupid acting.I'll try to gather all of my friends who have an account on IMDB to give to this movie 1 star, as I already did! May it be justice...this movie doesn't deserve to be in the archives of cinematography!

I saw this movie last year, and thought it was great, and it seemed obvious where Stephen King got the idea for "Children of the Corn". Also, a new UK horror film called "The Children" was probably "inspired" by this film, too.

Haven't seen the NEW The Children, but there's an older movie called The Children which I suspect the original of that new one.

I beg to differ with you. If anything, I think this movie is underrated. Not a lot of people know about it besides hardcore horror fans. I see no reason why it shouldn't be just as famous as other killer child films like Children of the Corn and The Omen because it certainly has just as much quality as they do. This is one of my favorite films of all time and I think it's silly of you to try to gather a group of people to give it a 1 just because you didn't like it.
