Great Acting
Plotnikov's eyes made this film. They said so much without saying a word. The rest of the cast did a great job as well, real moving stuff for a brutal, very realistic film.

shareFor me it's just as much how Anatoli Solonitsyn played the role of the ruthless collaborator, interrogator Portnov. Obviously, I was interested to see how he'd turn out to be in another role than the 'writer' in Tarkovsky's Stalker where he was great. I didn't expect him to be this good, though. If his gruesomely perfect performance won't give you the chills, nothing will.
I have made a few screenshots and written my own two cents on the film, if anyone should be interested: http://wp.me/p2OfJn-7r
next on my watchlist is "At home among strangers, a stranger at home" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0072231/
this one got Solinitsyn AND 'Stalker's Stalker...
cheers
