One of the most powerful shots I have ever seen

I am talking about the moment where the giant apron-wearing torture technician moves behind Sotnikov in his chair and gently strokes his hair. That scene sent shivers down my spine.

Great shot indeed, great scene, great film. Personally I found, from the same scene, the look he gave the interrogator (the Tarkovsky regular) after being branded to be even more effective. His face was so blank but it said so much and clearly made the interrogator very, very, uneasy.
