I was just watching this and thought I recognized the pickpocket from another film.
I checked it out and, sure enough, the pickpocket is played by Walter Pidgeon who co-starred in Harry in Your Pocket (1973), a film about pickpockets.
You should recognize Walter Pidgeon... appeared in almost 100 films and a lot of TV during the 60's and 70's. His most notable roles; Mrs. Miniver (Best Actor Oscar Nom), Advise and Consent, Madame Curie (Best Actor Oscar Nom),Forbidden Planet, Executive Suite, How Green Was My Valley, Dark Command, etc.
Two Minute Warning was one of his two last roles.
