at the end when the police sniper shoots him through the chest, i immediately knew he was still alive

Only in the movies can a guy take a hit from a .308 round center-mass and just keep on going like the guy did in the film.
shareYeah it's not very likely he could've kept firing, let alone stand up, after taking a hit like that. (Spoiler Alert) When they were frisking/examining his body at the end, they should have had him wearing a bullet proof vest under his shirt.

Fly not so low that he can't hide his head and the chopper or the cop sniper takes him out.
