Remake needed!

The poster and tag line for this movie are very promising and creepy! Not to mention the fact that it was a true story. I remember seeing this a long time ago. I liked it although I don't think it was the greatest spook film. However, with a proper remake, it could be so much better! They are remaking horror films right and left that were so fantastic the first time, they don't need to be remade. How about remaking little gems like this one that have room for improvement! And if they did, the original will most definitely be released on DVD!

Saw it last night, wouldn't care much for a remake.

All a remake would do is to add a couple of buckets of blood.

What about a remake starring Tommy Lee Jones as Ben Johnson's character? That could be interesting.

And Jessica Simpson as The Phantom!

does this movie have any connection with The Zodiac?

If they do remake it, the title should change to "Texarkana"

I have this feeling that people think I'm paranoid.

I had an idea for a semi-remake (in the sense that the storylines are similar) entitled Days of Blood, which dealt with a group of men committing several murders in a small town in North Dakota, resulting in a basic lockdown of the town, while the local law enforcment and a couple detectives from the city compromise their sanity looking for them. The basic inspiration was from this film.

"Hail to the king baby."

A new movie from the makers of 'Butcher' and 'Hellbilly58', based on the Texarkana Phantom Murders has just begun production. 'The Moonlight Murders' will be
coming soon. Keep an eye on this link for info- http://www.freewebs.com/sledgefilmsltd/themoonlightmurders.htm

It should be up on IMDB soon.

I agree. This is a great movie that might actually benefit from a remake.

Saw this last night on TCM. While it was an OK movie, the real-life case is far more fascinating. The poor attempts at humor were unneeded and it wasn't as suspenseful as it should have been. This is one of the very few instances where a remake is warranted.
