Pretty nice, goes into a lot of detail about the prime suspect and most logical contender for the real murderer.

To me, the greatest weakness of "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" isn't the often-ridiculed comic relief scenes, it's that even the existence of suspect Youell Swinney is never mentioned. But I'd give you three-to-one odds he was the actual murderer.

"The Town That Dreaded Sundown" is not a documentary. And I think it is one of the most interesting aspect of the film that there is no suspect and the killer stays totally anonymous. The killer could be anyone, he merges with the city folks; that's the idea the film chooses to show.
