Sean Connery Cameo in the bookshop scene?

I am pretty sure that there is a Sean Connery cameo in the first scene of the bookshop. There is a man with a large black mustache, a very brief scene. I have only seen this on TV, so could not freeze-frame it, but if anyone has this on DVD, could they look it up?

Sean Connery is not listed in the credits to this film.

There is a man with a dark mustache who crosses the room early in the scene you are talking about - he comes from the back of the set toward the screen and exits to the left. If that is the person you are referring to, I don't think he looks much like Sean, and I have the DVD so I was able to freeze it and play the scene over. However, maybe if you watched it on TV in lower quality he might have looked like Connery as he's only on the screen for a few seconds.

So I'd say no, Sean Connery does not make a cameo appearance in this film.

Not Connery but an obscure guy named Al Jarvis.

Looks like Slim Whitman to me!

Sean Connery? Shorley shome mishtake!

reply

Yeah, I wondered about that, too. The guy looked remarkably like Connery.

I thought he was a Burt Reynolds impersonator complete with the leather suit he used to wear on the Tonight Show.
