Travis the unreliable narrator
Is it widely accepted that Travis is an unreliable narrator? Watching this just now for the first time in a while I fouynd myself convinced. The surreal feel to the film, particularly the ending. Considering that Scorsese has denied that the ending is Travis's fever dream it would make sense that this fairytale ending to Travis's own unlikely hero narrative is all in his own imagination.
