listen to director commentary... a real riot

Jeff Lieberman does a great director commentary on Squirm -- funnier, I dare say, than the MS3K version. It's definitely worth hunting the DVD down to hear what he has to say about his own film. And if you're thinking about directing your own low budget horror film, I'd say its essential viewing.

If it can be written, or thought, it can be filmed. -- Stanley Kubrick

Yeah, it's real fun hearing a hack flip-flop every other breath about how the movie is supposedly a self-mocking spoof one minute, and then how it's a high-art horror masterpiece the next.

Director Jeff Lieberman is not a "hack" (Blue Sunshine comes to mind), and Squirm can never be considered a straight forward Irwin Allen/Bert I Gordon type animals attack, people in peril movie. Put the 3 D glasses down and stop mistaking Lieberman's irony, sarcasm and sense of humor for arrogance.

Agreed pageboy...I recommend you all watch Satan's Little Helper...great horror/comedy slasher I watch every October around Halloween time!!

I've been to the director's house. He has only one prop worm left from the making of that film - it's inside of a big acrylic display cube.
