Thats one thing I love about Squirm, and even the "bad" 70's movies like Giant Spider Invasion - No CGI!

I'm afraid CGI gives movies a "cold" feel, and lacks the creativity from a time when everything had to be done by hand.

Fun movies from a great era!

Terrifically fun effects. Supposedly there were more worm attacks planned (on the teens in the bar for example) , but budgetary limitations saw those scenes cut.

Of course there's no CGI you idiot. The film was made in the 70s.

The special effects are pretty good.

Practical is definitely better than CGI. It's a fact not an opinion.
