Well without a doubt, Zeppelin are THE greatest rock n' roll band to have ever walked the face of this earth.
I agree on most of your list. I would drop the Stones & Yes & add the Allman Brothers. Don't get me wrong, I like both of those bands, I just don't love them.
Don't shoot me, but I never liked the Beatles. Only B song I ever liked was "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", and someone pointed out that it was their only song written by Harrison, *not* Lennon/McCartney, so that's probably telling.
I'd add Scorpions up to about "Love At First Sting".
Judas Priest, at least The Halford Years. (Sorry, Ripper.)
Nightwish, definitely The Tarja Years (speaking of concert videos, get "End Of An Era" and see for yourself the perfection that is Tarja).
Every odd-numbered Bon Jovi album, at least before he went all country/western.
Is Lindsey Stirling a band? (See her "Crystallize", "Beyond The Veil", and "Halo Theme" videos!!)
MSG / Michael Schenker Group.
Some throw-ins:
Dio
Keel
Queensryche (okay, hit or miss...)
Yngwie Malmsteen
Warlock
Probably a bunch more I've sadly forgotten about...

I don't know who told you that, but this is totally not true.
I agree with everyone's list but I think Kiss and Van Halen should also be added.

Well, it's generally understood that 'bands' means 'rock bands', at least in this context.
My choices:
1) The Who
2) U2
3) Clash / Big Audio Dynamite
4) Stones
5) Doors
6) Led Zep
7) Beatles
8) Kinks
9) R.E.M.
10 Pink Floyd
If we can add solo artist to the list, Neil Young would be first, then Dylan.
Out of that list, I would say that "Yes" has the most talent...Steve Howe, Chris Squire, and Rick Wakeman...unrivaled, imo.
shareAdding on...
Queen
The Guess Who
Grand Funk Railroad
Heart
Creedence Clearwater Revival
America
Fleetwood Mac
Led Zeppelin
Black Sabbath
Van Halen
The Police
Journey/Def Leppard
Too many to list so I'll just go with 3.
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Black Sabbath
