Well without a doubt, Zeppelin are THE greatest rock n' roll band to have ever walked the face of this earth.

I agree on most of your list. I would drop the Stones & Yes & add the Allman Brothers. Don't get me wrong, I like both of those bands, I just don't love them.

Don't shoot me, but I never liked the Beatles. Only B song I ever liked was "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", and someone pointed out that it was their only song written by Harrison, *not* Lennon/McCartney, so that's probably telling.

I'd add Scorpions up to about "Love At First Sting".

Judas Priest, at least The Halford Years. (Sorry, Ripper.)

Nightwish, definitely The Tarja Years (speaking of concert videos, get "End Of An Era" and see for yourself the perfection that is Tarja).

Every odd-numbered Bon Jovi album, at least before he went all country/western.

Is Lindsey Stirling a band? (See her "Crystallize", "Beyond The Veil", and "Halo Theme" videos!!)

Neither have I, so don't worry about that. However, liking an act and trying to determine how important they are in the bigger scheme of things are two entirely different exercises.

I have never cared that much for the Beatles' music, but I consider them to be the most important rock band in history based on their innovation, influence, popularity, crossover appeal, and legacy.

Only B song I ever liked was "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", and someone pointed out that it was their only song written by Harrison, *not* Lennon/McCartney, so that's probably telling.

What's telling is that that someone told you wrong, and you just accepted it.

Just for The Beatles (AKA "The White Album"), the album on which "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" appears, Harrison wrote four songs including "Guitar." In fact, Harrison usually contributed a song or two to Beatles' albums starting with With the Beatles, released in the UK in 1963 and in the US in 1964. Harrison wrote some of the band's best-known and best-loved songs including "Taxman," "Something," and "Here Comes the Sun."

Harrison did feel that his writing contributions were undervalued in the group, and he did release two mostly instrumental solo albums even before the band officially called it quits. His first solo album after the break-up, the sweeping three-LP All Things Must Pass, was quite impressive and included a huge hit in "My Sweet Lord." But, unfortunately, he just wasn't a top-tier talent, and I think his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist is unwarranted.

But "Guitar" is one of my favorite Beatles tunes too, probably because Eric Clapton plays the guitar solo.

"Best"? or "your favorites"? There is a big difference.

"Favorites" are your tastes and preferences, and they are personal, subjective, and emotional.

"Best" requires an argument as to why they are the best to justify the statement. And, no, "because they totally rock, dude, and if you don't know that, you suck" is not an argument. I think I gave that one up while I was still in high school.

Similarly, "all time" is more exaggeration since I've discovered that when people say "all time," they really mean just a few years after they were born. But think about what "all time" really means. Louis Armstrong and His Hot Five or Duke Ellington's early-1940s orchestra could be a "best band of all time," and that is only jazz.

Well, it's generally understood that 'bands' means 'rock bands', at least in this context.

If we can add solo artist to the list, Neil Young would be first, then Dylan.

Out of that list, I would say that "Yes" has the most talent...Steve Howe, Chris Squire, and Rick Wakeman...unrivaled, imo.
