Bank Robbery?

My grandmother has always told me about a Western film that she was an extra in and we've narrowed it down to a couple of films - since she can't remember the title. All we know is that John Wayne was starring in it. She says that her small role was a woman running out of a bank yelling, "They robbed the bank!" with a little boy with a straw hat. Since I currently don't have access to this film, I'd like to know if anyone who does can tell me if a bank robbery happens? If you could help, that would be wonderful! Hopefully, we can figure out what film she was in!

Thanks!

There is no bank robbery in "The Shootist." What are the other films you think it may be? Seeing the other titles may ring a bell.

"Dadoo4050: and who, disguised as a mild-mannered schoolteacher. . ."

Three Godfathers---Duke robs a bank in that one---co-stared Ward Bond, Harry Carry Jr., and Pedro Armeindiaz---Has a scene like that

I'd rather go hunting with Dick Cheney, than driving with Ted Kennedy

Do you recall roughly the decade in which your grandmother did this?

If the seventies, I'm guessing "Cahill, US Marshall" (1973), which had, as I recall, a bank robbery sequence.

reply

"Cahill: US Marshal" had more of a bank burglery than a bank robbery. They broke into the bank at night.

I suggest you pose your question on the "Need To Know" board. They have some real "hot-shots" on that board and I guarantee you'll get the answer in 5 minutes.
