I have heard that the video R-Rated version of this movie has cut many of the love scenes between sarah miles and kris kristofferson, does anyone have any info on what was actually cut, or if there are different versions of the movie with different running times? I know it was released in two different widescreen versions, on video by anchor bay and on dvd by Image, though i'm not sure if either version is the uncut one? Any info? Thanks!!

It has many years since I viewed this movie and I did see it after seeing pics of Sarah Miles masturbation scenes in the movie based on a pictorial spread in one of the major mens magazines, Playboy, Penthouse, etc, but I don't remember which. Like I said it has been many years and as I remember the scenes were in fact shown in the film and to say I was overly unimpressed with the movie overall would be a gross understatement. It was not by any stretch of the imagination one of Miles or Kristofferson's better vehicles to be sure.

The more graphic pics were not from the movie but from a pictorial spread they did for Penthouse. After the movie came out Penthouse asked them to recreate some scenes for the magazine, but the photo shoot went way beyond anything they'd done in the movie. When the magazine came out it was the end of his marriage to Rita Coolidge. Out of that divorce came one of the most bitter albums I've ever heard (To The Bone).

Originally, the movie had all those scenes, but, from the reviews I've read of the Image dvd, that one has some of the more risque scenes completely cut out of the movie.

As I posted on one of the other threads it was very widely rumored at the time that not all the sex scenes were merely simulated and Coolidge became aware of this.

Unfortunately, that link has expired. Which video version do you have? I have the Anchor Bay/Video Treasures VHS, and I think (and hope) that all scenes are there.
