Is Rocky the best undeserved Best Picture Oscar Win?

The one I remember best is 1998 -

"Shakespeare in Love' beating "Saving Private Ryan"

Oh yeah, and 1980

"Ordinary People" beating "Raging Bull"

Yeah, these are the two most undeserving wins one can think of.

Also don't forget about Apocalypse Now losing to Kramer vs. Kramer.

Kramer vs Kramer looks like a made for TV family drama.

But reread the post. I think Crash is the worst undeserving BP win, while Rocky is the best.

No absolutely not. I agree however that Taxi Driver was a very worthy contender (no pun intended).

Contender is the pun. In the Rocky movies you'll learn that a contender is a boxer who fights the current champion for a shot at the title....in hopes of becoming the next heavy weight champion of the world!
