It is interesting that Rocky chose to forgive the coach who constantly belittled and insulted him, and accepted him as his coach for the match against Creed. I wonder if he was motivated to do so because he still affection for his coach deep down or because he felt he had no other realistic option for a coach?
shareI think it was in large part that Rocky knew he needed help. The night Mickey went to his apartment was after the media was mocking him and he told Adrien that it bothered him. Rocky didn't want his face kicked in and be embarrassed. It wasn't like other coaches were knocking on his door and Rocky knew he needed help to stay the distance with Creed. Plus I think Rocky always had a big heart and felt bad that he was yelling at Mickey.
