I wasn't that impressed
I grew up watching Clint Eastwood movies, wait, that was Charles Bronson. Same difference...
Heh, heh.
Actually, I had virtually never seen any Eastwood movies until recently. However, my name is Clint so I've always felt a strong connection with Eastwood.
I have loved various Clint movies - but this one didn't do much for me. Loved The Good The Bad and the Ugly and the Spaghetti westerns but Josey Wales wasn't much - maybe that's because I expected more.
The main thing I noticed was that Wales didn't seem to be actively protecting anyone or really going for justice, he just seemed to be sort of drifting.
Which I guess could help his character because he isn't out to kill people but death finds him - he doesn't start trouble but he finishes it.
I would have liked to see Wales really kick butt when the young lady almost got raped. I guess I watched too much Bronson, not enough Clint.
What hump?
