I was watching this movie recently and realized how much First Blood rips of this movie. If you really think about it, Rambo is pretty much a 1980s version of Josey. They are both one-man armies that are war veterans fighting against rednecks, who turn to their former war colleges for help.

are you aware, that Josie Wales as a Missouri Dirt Farmer would in fact be the classic definition of a 'redneck'? You could say Wales is the Redneck Rambo however...

shareTOJW is a classic film plot about a simple man who suffers tragedy at the hands of evil men and vows to seek revenge. Its just very well nuanced with a rich story and very good supporting actors.
