Remake in progress still....help needed!

I had put a post talking about my remake of MACH, but i need new financial backing and a screener of the film on dvd cuz my original and my vcr were destroyed in a fire. and anyone who can get me a copy of the original script to make a more modernized version, having not seen the movie enough to stay faithful to the source material, i'm not trying to remake MACH i'm trying to update it, cuz my script (which i threw out 2 months ago) before was a cookie cutter revenge movie in the vein of 187 (sam jackson), which just went off the a orignal's basic outline. Anyone who has any connections i need um, cuz i have no rights to the material and this is completely indepedent project
HELP ME OUT!

or what dan waters did with heathers...and openly praise the original film on the publicity curcuit of your thinly veiled remake/rip-off that has a different title(the only thing you really need the rights to)

Any updates on the remake? I think a remake could do very well and be considered more culturally relevant to the day than the original was.

get in touch with rene daalder and try to buy the rights from him.............

Here's a brilliant idea. Come up with your own ideas instead of ripping off other people and claiming to make it better when 9 times out of 10, remakes are worse off than the original. There is no reason to remake the movie. It's hilarious entertainment the way it is now and an updated version would just be pointless. Especially with all the high school bombings and murders these days. If there comes a time for it, worry about it then, but still, come up with your own ideas.
