Few films come to mind that live up to the title of 'suspense thriller' as well as Marathon Man does. One of my favorite scenes is when Babe and Elsa are at the country house waiting for the car to come up the road.
It was suspenseful indeed even by nowadays standards for most of the part, I liked especially creepy first third not knowing what to expect at all, bathroom scene and dentist torture where amazing as well, but in the end it went very fast downhill and lost suspense for me, especially the final fight in the park was extremely disapointing.

TOTALLY AGREE!! One of the absolute greats in the thriller/suspense genre. Loved every minute of it. 10/10.
