What would happen to a baby if....
... its previous version slipped and fell down the stairs, breaking its neck, after the baby had been born, but before the ritual of Carrousel?
shareAssuming the baby is still alive, they may have been advanced enough to medically repair the damage and make him/her as good as new - just like at "A New You." I imagine they could repair just about any injury and cure any disease.
In the event of premature death, I figure they'd just add one more birth in the next month's quota or something like that, just to keep the population figures stable.
