Bluray is pretty decent
Comparing the imagery with my old DVD, this appears to have more definition than the previous DVD release.
I'm satisfied with it so far. Does anybody else have an opinion on it?

I have not seen it on Blu ray I will order it today thank you
shareLooks great! Best I've ever seen this movie. Probably even better than when it was shown in theaters... how? because film gets all beat up after a few days of non-stop showing, and projectors are never setup right etc
* I saw in theaters when a kid, i don't remember the quality
I like the Blu-ray's clarity, however I was just wondering about the color timing.
Did it seem to be a bit greenish or turquoise-heavy? I can't be certain, but it almost looks as if it were run through a bit of modern digital grading, whereas the original would have had somewhat purer blues.
If it's not graded, then perhaps a bit of the magenta layer has deteriorated/weakened over time? I'm not sure how film colors degrade and what effect that has, but that might be a guess to explain the film's hues.
On the other hand, I had a thought: numerous scenes in the film were done against blue screen, according to the commentary track on the Blu-ray. Perhaps the film deliberately avoided all traces of blue, in order to keep from causing blue-screen problems. (That's just a guess.)
sharehmmm not sure I recall changes in colors, blu-ray SEEMED true colored enough to me. It might look a lot better - more colorful BECAUSE they were able to restore it to "pre degraded film" look? It didn't look all TEAL AND ORANGE if I recall but will check it again. GOOGLE Images search might show some frame grabs
