Jenny Agutter

Was the hottest chick in the movie, everyone says Farrah Fawcett, who I adore also, but in this film, one babe stands out heads and BREASTS above the crowd, beautiful Ms Jenny Agutter... Remember she shows her ta tas in the ice man scene. Beautiful naked as she was clothed ... If it were a game for Hottest girl the score would have been /---
Jenny Agutter - 42 points
Farrah Fawcett - 21 points

Jenny Agutter in this film is one of the hottest women to ever grace the silver screen. She had an amazing face, a soft and alluring voice, and most importantly, a fantastic body. Fawcett was gorgeous too, but I couldn't take my eyes off of Jenny during the entire film. Her legs, in particular, looked so good that I just wanted to eat them. :)

And not only here. In most films she has starred! She is sensual, sexy, feminine and smart. She is really a delicious woman and she knows it! And what about her eyes? Boy, what a look! Love her for sure!

This viewer has been a huge fan of Jenny Agutter since first seeing her in "The Eagle Has Landed" on the big screen where she plays Donald Sutherland's young love interest. No nudity, no sex scenes, but the way she portrays her loneliness in an idyllic little country hamlet in wartime England with most of the men having gone off to fight and how quickly she falls in love with the exciting, debonair stranger that arrives in her village. She is a romantic innocent surrounded by a world of ugliness and danger.

The reason she was not featured in the promos for "Logan's Run" is because she is a British actress, had been in Hollywood for only two months, and the first film in which she played the lead character was Australian and unavailable for viewing anywhere because of the controversy created by director Nicolas Roeg by filming 16 year old Ms. Agutter in extended, completely nude scenes. Scenes, by the way, which she has stated were difficult for her to do and surprised her by their length when she first saw the final cut. She has stated that she placed her faith in and trusted the director.

The film, "Walkabout" has finally been released in it's complete version (the final five minutes of "Girl" daydreaming and fantasizing about her time in the outback has been restored) by Criterion and is now considered by many to be a masterpiece.

She gives a very sensual performance in Walkabout. It is difficult to believe she was only 16 when it was filmed, since she looks far more comely than a typical 16-year-old. I attended a Q&A session in which she discussed the film. Apparently, filming was only supposed to last a couple of months and her mother took some holiday leave to accompany her on the shoot. The director dragged it out, filming more landscapes than Terrence Malick, and her mother ran out of time and had to return home. As soon as he got the mother out of the way the director had her swimming naked and frollicking around in her underwear. They had to do some scenes over and over because it was just too much for her co-star, poor old David Gulpilil, who found his constant erections deeply embarassing.

Some of the "spoiled" scenes even made the final cut; ultimately it didn't matter because the MPAA cut the lot, but the BBFC didn't. Agutter didn't realize how much nudity would end up in the film; she was under the impression it would be brief and in long-shots. It wasn't. She attended the premiere with her folks, and her father who was an army officer at the time went absolutely mental and the director had to be ferried away to diffuse the situation.

Agutter was traumatized by the final cut of the film at the time (and no wonder, it must be horrendous for a teenage girl to know that every boy she went to school with has seen her naked), but in recent years she has started to see it in a more favorable light, admitting that the director's decisions were spot on, even if he did exploit her. Obviously, with her best years behind her she probably now accepts it is hands down the best thing she ever did, so she may as well embrace it. While the nudity is unbelievably gratuitous it is a film of substantial atistic merit, made by a director who is now regarded as a genius in Great Britain that somehow managed to get his hands on a girl who would emerge as the nation's sweetheart.

Interesting backstory !
Thank you both for posting.

One correction....the MPAA didn't force anything to be cut. The producers just didn't want to get slapped with an R or X rating, so they cut the film.

Right on! Love all of those movies and the delicious Ms. Agutter. I need to get my mind out of Agutter! hehe

I was only fifteen years old when I first saw "Logan's Run." I had been a Farrah fan from the first time that she came on the scene, but after seeing Jenny Agutter's boobies in this, I lusted after her in a way bigger way.

The first time I saw this was on TV. Farrah was really popular at the time and they kept advertising it as "starring" Farrah Fawcett and she's hardly in it.

No, Schrodinger's cat walks into a bar and doesn't walk into a bar at the same time, until somebody notices him. Or doesn't notice him. Or notices and doesn't notice him at the same time.

Funny you should say that. Back in the '70s, when I was a kid and Charlie's Angels was on, I had a huge crush on Farrah Fawcett. I remember watching Logan's run on TV when it aired a year or so after it was in the theaters. I watched it specifically because Farrah Fawcett was in it. I remember being very disappointed that her part was so small. I don't think I even noticed Jenny Agutter at the time.

Then, in the mid-eighties, I watched it again as a teenager when HBO aired it as one of their daytime filler movies, and I remember finding Jenny Agutter very much more attractive than Farrah Fawcett, an opinion I still hold to this day. Interestingly, as far as the Charlie's Angels cast goes, I also now put Farrah Fawcett in third place behind Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson (in that order).
