This version for Juveniles
I had to laugh at this version. I watched mainly because of the Twin Towers as a New Yorker. In fact I was there when they were filming a scene. I read some viewers were taken with the music soundtrack. Are you kidding? Max Steiner nailed it with the original. It was his music that got one into that atmosphere the makers were trying to project. I had to laugh at the scene where Jessica Lange tried talking to the birthday suit of Kong.."Now, Kong, don't be a bad boy and calm down'...this is your baby that loves you. Ha! Unbelievable! I bet Jessica winces when she may catch this scene herself. Of course she was chosen for her pretty face and bosum, but she did not display the vulnerability that Fay Wray portrayed. Like they always say about things in general.."If it ain't broken, don't fix it.." but as long as new technology appears, some hungry, greedy idiots in La La land would say "Hey, lets make another King Kong Movie, for the new generation." The old one would never be topped...period.
