The music itself is pretty cool, but the vocalists are HORRENDOUS!!

In my opinion, the music is fantastic. It works with the movie and (this might be why I like it so much) it reminds me of Portishead. Excellent movie, not a stretch to say this may quite be the best western ever made. But then again, thats all just my opinion.

Me too! It's like a western folk opera.

I like the soundtrack very much. The vocals too! Although I admit that sometimes they are little over the top... I believe that most people who bash the soundtrack never listen anything that is not on MTV.

Just saw the movie. I thought the music for the most part had an early goth/darkwave sound which fit with the almost horror themes of the movie. However, while overall the music worked, there were many sections that were just terrible; particularly any section that involved the father..."your father's dead...and the woman is pregnant...who do you luuuuuvvvv..."

So I give it a 50/50. When used wisely, the music was cutting edge and original - when just retelling the plot... struggled would be too nice a description.

think this soundtrack is one of the weaker works of guido and maurizio de angelis.

This is pretensious but its quite clearly labelled in the film that the soundtrack is actually a greek chorus. what makes it particularly clear is that the old woman is the charcater of fate. this is a classic elemnt of greek tragedy, also how extra information is given by the soundtrack is a clear element of chorus. read some sophocles people

Does anyone know of anywhere to download the soundtrack?

Most of the songs can be listened in Youtube :)
Just search Keoma song

And by the myself, I love this soundtrack. Very interesting and good use of it, when lyrics and moods of the songs change according to the situation and mood of the main characters. Also the music is great work by Oliver Onions, I would say their best soundtrack.

I also liked the soundtrack.
It turned the movie an illustrated western-ballad.
Which is an interesting concept.

Somebody PLEASE tell me there is a CD out there somewhere for this film's soundtrack -- It was incredibly unique! (yes I know there are Youtube postings, I just performed an extensive search)

Of course there is (from 1993) but it's pretty rare, also there was a more recent 500 copies limited-release on vinyl, prepare to fork out quite a bit for either.
There should be hopefully soon a full release like they are doing for a lot of other, more obscure, 'spaghettis'.
So far only 9 tracks from the film are available on both releases; more info here:
