Missing Scene??? It's Driving Me Crazy

Wasn't this the version that showed Winifred Chapman actually entering into the house via kitchen? She was flipping the switch to put the lights on up and down? Then she tried the phone. And then, she kind of got creeped out, made a face of WTF? And then they show her going into the living room, and THEN cut to her running out of the house.

What makes me feel that I saw this and not read it in Helter Skelter was because of her WTF face. It was WTF face, hesitate, look around the room and then go into the living room.

Am I wrong? Was I was on drugs? (well, yeh, i was, but that's a rhetorical question)

Can anyone help with this?

I don't think you are remembering it correctly at all. The only WTF face she gives is when she is dropped off and sees the cut phone wire across the gate. She sees it and then gives the WTF face, looks to see if her friend who dropped her off is down the road, opens the gate, walks past the switch with blood, doesn't see that, and then the next scene is her running out of the house screaming "MURDER! MURDER!". No version I have ever seen shows her in the house. There would be no reason for her to flip the lights up and down because the power was never cut in the house. Not in the book and not in the movie. In the book it describes her going straight to the kitchen after unlocking the door and trying the phone, then after it being dead she walks to the living room and saw the steamer trunks with blood on them. she saw blood everywhere, but she didn't see the entire living room. She didn't see past the couch, obviously didn't see Sharon or Jay. She looks at the door which is open a bit and sees more blood. She then sees a body on the lawn. She then turns and runs back the way she came and then past Steven Parent. I believe she only saw two bodies.

Maybe I am intermixing the two movie versions of this story I doubt it would be from The Manson Family.

And re the lights: I was questioning myself on that aspect. i remember the phone being picked up. So it must be the other movie or i have it in my head from the book.

thanks for a quick response!

I can't remember if she is in the newer version of Helter Skelter. I doubt too that it's in The Manson Family. Maybe it's in The Helter Skelter Murders aka The Other Side Of Madness. I haven't seen that in years.

I looked it up before I posted my last post, and she is in it. It was nightime and I didn't want to put that movie in to see if i was correct....too creepy at nighttime.

In the book she only saw 2 bodies. I assume the body on the lawn she saw was Votek since she was standing at the front door. but there was no Mrs.Chapman that I recall in the 2004 version.
