Would have liked to have heard the Defense's summary

Just for laughs, actually. Had to be pretty lame, considering all the evidence.

A small element really bugged me in that the Good Ole Boys in Texas who protected their boy never got punished and, if they are still living, are happily retired on the taxpayers' dime.

I would've liked to have heard that too. He was very annoying screaming "Objection! Objection! Objection!" every time someone opened their mouth to say even 1 word. I bet he would've stated it in an arrogant, condescending way like he did with the rest of the trial.

I've been waiting for you, Ben.

Yeah, over the top, IMO, but there are a lot of sleazy lawyers who give the other 1% a bad name, so I guess it wasn't too much of a stretch.

I've seen that actor before, and in this film, he did a good job, as I hated his guts.

Irving Kanarek, Charlie's lawyer, tried to imply that Charlie might in fact be Jesus Christ.
