corny and dated now

I had never seen this, so thought it might be decent, but
it was like a tv movie from the 70's.

Corny and boring , they dont even show a bear at all till the last 1/3.
not worth seeing for new viewers in 2015

Of course the Edge was the best and big budget, but this film was pretty
good too, I enjoyed it.

Also another lower budget but good bear movie is Backcountry (2014)

It was based on a true story, I read about the true story and sort of
felt like maybe the guy killed his wife and made it look like a bear did it.
But it is worth watching.

One thing about Grizzly maze, it had bart the bear, same bear from the edge I think?
and showed little more about how fast a bear is.

I did some reading on bear attacks, and found out they can run 30 mph !
so on open ground you cant outrun a bear.
Bears climb trees very good, and can wait for you to come down.
A bear can smell you for like 5 miles away so you cant hide from them.

They said the best thing you can do is play dead and your ok unless the bear
wants to eat you.

In a forest or hilly area yo might be able to run and get away or climb a rockface,
but really if a bear is stalking you like in these movies you wont get away.

When bears first come out of hibernation they are hungry, and right before they go into hibernation, and at both times little food is available.
So those periods not a good time to be in thier territory.
