Sound familiar at all? The composer is Sir William Walton, the piece is the Johannesburg Festival Overture from 1956.

Still think Williams is a genius? Just curious ... !

Thanks, john-wheat, for posting the Varese Sarabande link for ordering the scroe from "Family Plot." I know I usually get the ending theme stuck in my head; now I can have the entire score. Listening to the previews, I can visualize the scenes; ie, like the one when Maloney was chasing Blance and Lumley with his car.

This was an unexpected pleasant surprise.

Now if we could only get the entire un-used Henry Mancini score for "Frenzy." Rumored that he did a full or near-full score before Hitchcock inexplicably fired him. We do have the great overture(for the Thames River shot) that wasn't used. But it would be great to have it all.
