What do any of you think about the quality of the picture to this recent release?

Watched the first few scenes of the new DVD and apart from being anamorphic there is nothing about it that makes it better than the old Eite 1.85:1 version which kind of looks sharper than this new release.The new release still has grain and the odd bit of print damage.Havent watched them yet but the extras look pretty good though.

When on the filmcredits page of Eaten ALive, click on "more" (purple colored) after Release date:. There will appear a list titled "Release Dates" with underneath Related Links, go there and choose DVD (underlined).

I bought this DVD today, EATEN ALIVE is Tobe Hooper's fifth best film. I can't wait to check out those special features, they sound awesome.

Yeah? And how were they (the extras) wallacesawyer ?
Any idea if there is also a Region 2 DVD available? I am from Holland (Europe) and need to know. It is one of the three that made a horrible inprint on me when I was (too) young (the others were Jaws and Psychic Killer).

Have you checked whether your dvd player can be enabled to play other region dvds? Google "your dvd player brand and model + dvd hack." If your dvd player is one that can be enabled, doing this will lead you to instructions on how to enter a code that allows you to play other region dvds. Good luck.
