He has not been heard from since his few pithy comments in 2003.

If you thought that one was funny, this one of his is worthy of Borat:

With the respect that you deserve me I found you ridiculous. You say the tipical thinks that says the most part of american public. Surely you're poisoned with the "INDUSTRIAL" and "COMERCIAL" Hollywood's cinema.
Say you that this movie are "very slow". You must to go see -perhamps-"Rambo" or "Terminator". Maybe you can enjoy other kind of cinema.

I wish he would post some more, and hope that his English is still the same.

Just finished this movie in a Spanish Film Class. Very interesting, with an adictive soundtrack (Por Que te Vas). Trying to work out an essay right now on the theme of despair plays out in the movie and seeing it everywhere. Trying to link this movie with El espiritu de la colmena and Surcos. Also good Spanish films to see.

It's a good movie, but imho not as brilliant as El espiritu de la colmena.

If you're trying to link another film to that one, try Elisa, vida mía the film Carlos Saura made after Cria Cuervos, again starring the amazing Ana Torrent. According to Huellas De Un Espíritu, a documentary about the making of El espiritu de la colmena, the plot of Elisa, vida mía is based on elements that were discarded while making that film.
