I was born that year and I love the music;the clothes were ugly but T.C.'s Afro was awesome. What were they thinking in those days?

reply

Want to talk about horrendous styles? Try ten years later. The mid to late 80's clothes were even uglier than clothes from the 70's. My siblings and I have pictures to prove it.

I remember those clothes. And the hair. The really big hair. No wonder the Ozone layer is depleted.

My sister went through four cans of hairspray a day. I looked like a preppy dork, and my cousin looked like a walking ad for day-glo. The only white guy in Peekskill, New York to rock bright colored adidas.

Damn,that's a lot of hairspray.

Were there any girls in your area who would talk like a Valley girl?

Like,oh,my god! Gag me with a spoon!

reply

Oh....god....YES! They annoyed the s**t out of me, including my two younger sisters whom felt the need to walk around looking like rejects from The Go-Go's. Those girls were too "white" for me, and this is coming from a white guy. With the exception of Lisa Whelchel and Dana Palto(Blair from Facts of Life and Kimberly from Diff'rent Strokes), my crushes were mostly black females. Thank god for my other friends in Brooklyn.

Your sister's hair must have been crispy,LOL!

I can't believe we live in a time where sexual perversion is becoming the "norm". It's not natural.

reply

Crispy and "like totally" huge. I hated using the bathroom after her because you can get high from that s**t she put in her hair.
