Why does everyone call it a frog / a toad.

I always thought it was a giant stubby lizard.

The best part of that scene is when Peter Cushing makes a perfect working bow and arrow in about 3 and a half minutes. Classic.

I don't know anything about biology but it makes sense that a frog who has the power to breath fire, would explode if it fell off a high cliff like whats shown
