Slightly different lyrics

The first series of Wonder Woman is currently being shown on the horror channel, in the Uk. The lyrics to the opening titles always amuse me, but am I right in thinking there were slightly differnt words in the later series? I seem to remember -

"Woman of the hour, with your super power.'

You don't hear that line in the first series.

As the series was updated from the WWII era to the 1970s, the theme song was refreshed. Gone were the lyrics "make a hawk a dove, stop a war with love, make a liar tell the truth."

I hear a lot of lyrics incorrectly. I thought the lyric from the first Wonder Woman theme was "make a liar tell it true".

Thank you both, for your replies.

If I remember correctly, there's a reference to the Axis in the first season lyrics--great for World War II, but not so much for the 70s.

Why would that be on the HORROR channel?!

Don't say anything bad about Jojo
If she's a disciplinarian, I'm the Queen Of England!- Stella

Haven't you seen season 3? It is a horror!!

reply

Not THAT bad. Better than Batman's season 3.

The Horror Channel, like a few other channels here, show things slightly linked. For instance Yesterday (formerly UKTV History) not only swamp that channel with Nazi documentaries but weekends have a lot of Natural History programmes. On the Horror Channel We have Dr. Who, The original Star Trek, The Hulk, Highlander (this is certainly a horror as is ST:TNG The Wild wild West and a few other things as well. It's a brilliant channel and we tend not to watch much else other than this channel. 11am usually sees a slight horror film though they tend to start about 9pm.

Apart from a couple of programmes I don't like it works very well and certainly makes it refreshing from soaps and reality stuff.
