Worst Episode

Now that Wonder Woman is re-airing on The Horror Channel and MeTV, I was wondering which episode everyone thought was the worst? For me, it was season 2's "The Pied Piper." No Steve Trevor and Martin Mull as a rock star? His voice was horrible and I thought the storyline was too silly.

For me, it's the invulnerable man episode late in season 3. I'm glad the series got cancelled rather than having them go in the direction that episode indicated they were going to go.

I remember growing bored with the show early on (I was 9 back then), so I look forward to now watching them again in MeTV, but one I do recall disliking whole-heartedly was Tim Conner as that alien who made that little whistle. It was pathetic. I wanted to see adventure, something, anything instead of people and their secret whistle!

I remember a bit where he as the superior alien said "on our planet, children play with nuclear energy as toys."

It struck us odd for then why would interest be in their children's toys instead of what the alien grown ups used for defense.

Richard FYI, the man's name is "O'Connor" and you gotta remember that Andros' world was more futuristic than Earth of 1942. "The Pied Piper" was a fair episode but yes very little of Lyle Waggoner but hey they had to give Normann Burton's Joe Atkinson some work before he was written out for good. As for "The Man Who Could Not Die" it might have worked as its own series for a brief time yes, but granted it would have died in time.

I used to mistake Tim OH! Conner for Fernando Lamas, believe it or not. I actually tossed around whether or not there was an O there. Fifty-fifty chance and I lost. Oh well.

Didn't matter about Lyle Waggoner being there, plot was propelled by some inane whistling over and over again. Not enough to hold the attention of this ten-year-old.

And then it was continued, wasn't it? No thanks.

Judgement From Outer Space I and II were probably the only 2 episodes in the first season that weren't campy in some way, and as a result is much more serious than just about any WW episodes. I think the adult plot was fascinating but agree that there wasn't a lot of action or adventure. But I loved the chemistry between Diana and Andros, and the fact that he could tell immediately she was Wonder Woman. Also, this was the first and really only time Diana and Steve argued. I loved the reporter who was really working for the Nazis, he was very convincing and I liked how Diana suspected him but couldn't really prove it. The second parter really suffered from the lack of action, with lots of scenes of WW, Andros, and Steve running in hallways that all look alike. But it's still one of the more interesting episodes, I think. At least it tried something different.

I just finished seasons one and two and so far the worst episode in my book is "The Murderous Missile" Nothing really made much sense. It was all bad.

Agree about the Pied Piper episode. I'm watching that right now and it's one steaming pile of *beep*

Pleased to meet you! Hope you guessed my name!

reply

Sh *beep* iT Bomb ... er sorry I meant Time Bomb along with the majority of Season 3 episodes.

I have never been a fan of Martin Mull. But I loved Eve Plumb and she was in that episode. So was accomplished character Denny Miller. The entire episode is on youtube. Please click on

Was Steve Trevor really necessary? He was just a clueless Ken doll who Wonder Woman was constantly rescuing. In the "Pied Piper" episode she saved someone else from the bad guys.

Anyone who posts episodes they like on a 'worst episode' thread is an a-ss-hat

The "Pot Of Gold" episode was pretty weak.

reply

Yes, I didn't care for "Pot of Gold."

Those men would not have been able to pick up a pot filled with gold coins.

Character is revealed by how you treat people with no power.

reply

Skateboard Whiz (stupid)
The Starships Are Coming (boring)
Pot of Gold (ridiculous).
